  3. Purchased this and 3 other Fairport Convention CDs. Wanted to dig in to Richard Thompson's early days and fell in love with Sandy Denny's voice. The CDs are great, the Amazon packing left much to be desired. All 4 CDs were placed in to a single padded envelope and shipped. All 4 jewel cases were damaged, Full House getting the worst of it/5(78).

  7. The unfortunate fate of “Sir Patrick Spense” is a decidedly livelier affair and easily the strongest track on Full House. The second instrumental, “Flatback Caper”, demonstrates the excellent interplay between fiddler Dave Swarbrick and the rest of the band – a future trademark of Fairport’s sound.
  8. Mar 24, · Fairport Convention: The Album by Album Thread. Full House Fairport had set the bar really high with their first four albums and various radio sessions. Given, post Liege & Lief, they'd seemingly lost both the heart and the soul of the band, the omens weren't good for Full House. Doctor Of Physick and Sir Patrick Spens as my highlights.
